San Diego Padres won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers at
Petco Park pulling it out in their last at bats, 3 to 2.
 
The game was won by San Diego with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Eric Chavez laced a one-base hit.  Mark Teixeira was next and he stroked a
base-hit.  After an out was recorded, Clint Barmes came to the plate and
lined a one-base hit to load the bases.  Orlando Hudson was up next and he
stroked a base-hit making San Diego the winners and sending the 44,958 fans
home happy.  San Diego had 10 hits for the afternoon while Los Angeles(NL)
had 7.  
 
Rudy Seanez(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. Matt Morris(0-1)
suffered the loss.  He pitched 8 and 2/3 innings giving up 9 hits and 2
walks.
