In an great finish the Arizona Diamondbacks won in dramatic fashion over the
San Diego Padres by a score of 4 to 3 at Chase Field.

Arizona won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs utilizing 3
base hits. Brian Roberts led off the inning for Arizona when he tripled.
Jack Wilson stepped up next and he lashed a single. Wilson got a great jump
and stole second easily. Xavier Nady stepped in and he blasted a two-run
home run (his 2nd of the season). Arizona banged out 8 hits on the
afternoon.

Dan Wheeler(1-0) went 1 inning allowing 2 runs for the victory. Warner
Madrigal(0-1) took the loss in relief. He was unable to retire a batter
giving up 2 hits and no walks.
