WEB GEMS- Bot 8th: Edgar Renteria robbed Lastings Milledge of a base hit.
Scott Feldman completed the game without help from the bullpen and catcher
A.J. Pierzynski cracked a homer at AT&T Park where the San Francisco Giants
beat the San Diego Padres by the score of 9 to 2.
The game started off with San Francisco taking the lead in the first with 3
runs. After an out was recorded, Lastings Milledge keyed the rally when he
drew a walk. Troy Glaus came next and he drew a walk. James Loney then
tripled. Mark Teahen came up and he hit a deep fly. That early run support
was enough for Feldman(1-0) and San Francisco. San Francisco had a total of
12 hits for the game.
Nick Masset(0-1) was tagged with the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 5 hits
and 3 walks in 2 innings.
