The Atlanta Braves nipped the San Diego Padres 4 to 3 at Turner Field in a
hard fought contest.
Brandon Webb(16-4) contributed a pedestrian performance to earn the win. He
was reached for 8 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. Webb got help from
Matt Lindstrom who pitched great and earned his 16th save.
The losing pitcher was Brandon Backe(0-1). 'I had a little blister on my
index finger before the game, but I thought it was nothing.' Webb said. 'I
was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.'
