In a two run game the San Francisco Giants got by the San Diego Padres by the
score of 5 to 3.

Jonathan Sanchez(3-6) was solid if not spectacular. He was reached for 7 hits
and 2 walks in 6 innings. San Francisco rapped out 7 hits for the night.

Sanchez got help from Brian Wilson who earned his 8th save. Brandon
Backe(1-1) absorbed the loss. 'He gutted it out' Mike Bolyog said of
Sanchez. 'I was very impressed by his tenacity.'
