Mark Teixeira slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI at AT&T Park where the San Diego
Padres beat the San Francisco Giants 6 to 5.

San Diego came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 8th inning scoring
2 runs on 2 hits. Jacoby Ellsbury led off and keyed the rally when he lashed
a single. Ellsbury then stole second base. Orlando Hudson got his turn
next, but he was a strikeout victim. Teixeira was up next and he smashed a
two-run homer (his 2nd of the season). Despite losing, San Francisco out-hit
San Diego 11 to 7.

The winning pitcher was Kevin Slowey(1-0) who allowed 4 runs in 7 and 1/3
innings. Slowey was helped out by Chad Qualls who recorded his 3rd save.
Billy Sadler(3-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He gave up 3 runs in 2
and 1/3 innings of work.
