Nick Masset pitched a complete game as the San Diego Padres topped the Los
Angeles(NL) Dodgers by a score of 6 to 2 at Petco Park.
 
San Diego came up with 3 runs in the 3rd inning when they had 4 base hits.
After an out was recorded, Jacoby Ellsbury got things going when he banged
out a single.  Ellsbury was safe at second on a stolen base.  Mike Fontenot
then drew a walk.  Mark Teixeira followed and he singled to load the bases.
Raul Ibanez stepped into the box and slapped a base-hit.  Garret Anderson was
the next batter, but he struck out.  Adam Jones stepped up to the plate and
he slapped a one-base hit.  That was all the offense they were to need.  San
Diego totaled 10 hits on the night.  
 
Masset(1-1) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 2 runs. Jair
Jurrjens(0-1) was hit with the loss.  He was knocked around by San Diego,
allowing 10 hits and 6 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
