Jacoby Ellsbury slammed a homerun as the San Diego Padres defeated the Houston
Astros by the score of 4 to 3 at Minute Maid Park.
San Diego scored the deciding run in the 9th inning. After an out was
recorded, John Buck blasted a solo shot (his 2nd of the season). Will
Venable came next and he drew a walk. San Diego had 9 hits overall, while
Houston had 4.
Duaner Sanchez(1-1) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Chad
Qualls gained credit for his 2nd save. Jon Rauch(2-1) was the loser in
relief.
