Matt Holliday lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI as the Atlanta
Braves defeated the San Diego Padres in 11 innings by the score of 4 to 2 at
Petco Park.

Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Atlanta was
victorious in the 11th inning. Martin Prado led off and started the attack
as he laced a base-knock. Holliday next to the plate and he cracked a
two-run shot (his 1st of the season). After an out was recorded, Randy Winn
came up and he laced a one-base hit. One out later, Kelly Shoppach came up
and he hit a single. Overall Atlanta out-hit San Diego 11 to 7.

Ryan Madson(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 3 and 2/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Nick Masset(2-2) suffered the loss in relief. He allowed 2
runs and 4 hits in 1 and 2/3 innings.
