Johan Santana completed the game without help from the bullpen and Hanley
Ramirez touched them all and had 4 RBI as the Florida Marlins beat the
slumping San Diego Padres by a score of 10 to 2.

Ramirez provided much of the offense. He doubled bringing in two baserunners
in the 3rd inning and cracked a two-run shot (his 1st of the season) in the
8th inning. Florida had 9 hits for the night.

The victory was credited to Santana(1-0) who went the distance, allowing 2
runs. Shawn Estes(3-2) took the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 6 hits and 4
walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.
