Joe Blanton shutout Houston while allowing the San Diego bullpen a day-off at
Petco Park where the San Diego Padres beat the Houston Astros by the score of
5 to 0.
 
Blanton(6-4) simply dominated Houston.  He allowed only 4 hits and 3 walks in
9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.55 to 3.12.  San Diego managed 9 hits in
their victory.
